“Crazy Little Thing Called Love” – Diabetes & Technology

Neesha Ramchandani, PNP, CDE

There is a love story happening at AADE18 this summer, and you are invited to be part of it!  Between whom, you ask?  Between diabetes educators and technology!  In the Diabetes & Technology track, you will learn how to get it on (pumps and sensors), get intimate (with the hybrid closed loop), and work with strange bedfellows (corporate partnerships in diabetes care).  You will also be challenged (through case studies) and eventually learn how to harness the power that’s available through technology and telehealth. The sessions are filled with interesting and dynamic speakers who are all experts in the field to tell you all about it.  It’s a track you don’t want to miss!

This year, unlike previous years, the planning committee worked with presenters with similar content focuses to create sessions comprised of multiple, related topics. This allows you to gain a variety of perspectives while attending one session!

One example is the session Pour Some Sugar on Me on Friday, August 17 at 2:00pm:

  • Harnessing the Power of the Download – Eileen Faulds
  • Sugar Surfing on Continuous Glucose Data – Stephen Ponder
  • Improving Inpatient Glycemic Control Utilizing Data and Technology – Felicia Amick
  • Sending Patients Home on Insulin and Keeping Them Home – Heidimarie Macmaster

You’ll notice that there are five of these unique sessions within the technology track: one on Friday, two on Saturday, one on Sunday, and one on Monday.  Be sure to check out our registration brochure to learn more about each.

If you don’t want to miss a thing, be sure to reserve your spot at AADE18 in Baltimore this August!  We hope to see you there!  Register here
