There is so much to explore in Baltimore and I know you will not be disappointed. After all, there is a reason the New York Times named Baltimore one of 52 places to go in 2018, Travel + Leisure called Baltimore “the coolest city on the East Coast,” and Zagat listed Baltimore as one of the most exciting food cities in 2017!
We don’t mean to name drop, but Baltimore is the city you’re missing, as noted by Southwest: The Magazine. Oops, we did it again!
Baltimore is easy to get to and easy to get around. Located centrally along the East Coast, the city is a quick train or car ride away from other major destinations and 15 minutes from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, which has 650 daily flights from 70 destinations. Once you’re here, take a Light Rail train from BWI airport into the heart of Baltimore’s downtown. It costs just $1.80 for a one-way ticket or $4.20 for a day pass. I mean come on, less than five dollars!
The Baltimore Convention Center campus is just steps away from beautiful waterfront views, and the Baltimore Water Taxi is waiting to take you to other waterfront neighborhoods such as Fell’s Point, Federal Hill, Harbor East, and Canton. Or hop on the free Charm City Circulator buses to explore neighborhoods like Mount Vernon, Station North and Charles Village. Baltimore’s affordability and walkability make it an easy city to navigate knowing that wherever you decide to explore there is always something new and exciting to discover.
Now, if the waterfront is the heart of Baltimore, then the city’s rich and colorful neighborhoods has to be Baltimore’s soul. Meet interesting people, explore world-class museums, discover award-winning restaurants…be inspired. An authentic Baltimore experience is made of both grit and grace. There’s a beautiful story unfolding here. Be sure to follow #MyBmore on social media for photos and videos that show the Baltimore you’re missing from those who know it best – the locals.
I promise you, one trip to Baltimore will have you returning for more. We look forward to welcoming you to this great city for AADE18 this August!
